A message from our founder:
Hey there!
We’re so glad you’ve found 435locals.com and are checking out what we’re all about.
I’m Katie, and this whole thing started as my passion project. As a Southern Utah native who’s been involved in local organizations for years, I kept seeing the same problem—we needed one place where locals could find everything happening in our community, and where our amazing small businesses could actually reach the people right here at home.
It wasn’t long after I started this journey that my husband Craig saw the vision, put his own career on hold, and jumped in to help local small businesses succeed alongside me. Now we’re both all-in on this mission because we share the same passion: seeing people and places thrive. We love connecting folks, and we’re involved in everything we possibly can (though let’s be honest—we can’t be everywhere!).
This has truly become a family affair—our girls are right there with us, whether they’re helping post events, creating social media content, keeping up with the website and emails, exploring Southern Utah with us, helping at booths, or just simply putting up with us being on our phones constantly, sharing and connecting. They’ve learned that supporting local isn’t just what we do for work—it’s how we live.
What we’ve built is exactly what we wanted to see: a place where locals can find everything they need in one spot, and where local businesses have a real platform to reach their neighbors. Our community events calendar covers everything from fairs and festivals to business networking and local classes—and posting is free! Plus, we offer affordable promotion options to help get the word out.
Our business directory isn’t just a list—it’s the heartbeat of our community, showcasing the small businesses that make Southern Utah special. We work directly with these businesses, creating compelling content that tells their unique stories and combining it with local promotions that actually deliver value.
We cover all of Southern Utah, from St. George and Cedar City to Brian Head and Kanab, because this whole region is our home. It’s where we live, play, and raise our family. You’ll probably run into us at local events, trying out our fantastic local restaurants, or out on the trails off-roading and hiking—the stuff that brings us real joy!
