Want to experience Zion but without the crowds? The Water Canyon hike near Hildale offers a more secluded and off-the-beaten-path hiking experience compared to Zion National Park. It is a more tranquil setting for hikers seeking solitude while exploring Southern Utah.

Trail Info for Water Canyon Trail 


‼️Never hike this if there is a chance of rain due to flash floods.
 
Option 1: • Moderate, out-and-back trail with some elevation gain • 2 miles round trip if you do the short version • Hike to the small waterfall and spring, then turn back.
 
Option 2: • Hard, out and back trail • 6.2 miles round trip to white domes and back • 2,106 ft elevation gain • This part of the trail is not well marked, so download the @alltrails map before you go!

We hiked Cinder Cone with a Ranger from Snow Canyon State Park. If you have the chance to hike one of their guided hikes – do it! 

Not only did we learn a lot about volcanos, but we learned about plants and the local history of the rock formations right here in Southern Utah.
