🧭EXPLORE SOUTHERN UTAH
The Petroglyphs at Little Black Mountain is a great local exploration site and is full of local rock art. The markings are etched into the dark rocks, creating a striking contrast that enhances their visibility.
The carvings feature a variety of images, including animals, human figures, abstract symbols, and intricate patterns. Each petroglyph tells a story, though the exact meanings and purposes behind many of the carvings are left to personal interpretation.
What do you think?
Is it a sun, or a symbol of a journey❔
Is the turtle a sign of a local desert tortoise in the area, or is it a symbol of strength and longevity❔
Are the stories records of life at the time, visions of leaders, or are they warnings❔
