Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care Seminar will enhance your knowledge of Dementia by providing fundamental education on dementia and dementia care. We will focus on enhancing the quality of life of those living with dementia by fostering sensitivity and respect, teaching communication techniques, and providing sensitive approaches for assisting patients with activities of daily living. You will understand dementia, describe behavioral/care interventions that may be used to prevent or reduce difficult care situations, describe challenges related to caregiver stress and utilize stress reduction techniques, and learn alternative activity interventions that are success-oriented and failure-free. This is for caregivers and healthcare professionals.

*This Seminar has been approved by the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners® and meets the criteria for those who qualify and are pursuing certification as a CDP Certified Dementia Practitioner. 7 CEUs are available for SW/PT/OT/SLP through the State of Utah. RN CEUs are available through the CEU Network.
