Red Rock Center for Independence (RRCI) empowers people with disabilities and seniors throughout nine Southwestern Utah counties to live independently through education, personalized services and technology. We have a main office in St. George and satellite offices in Hurricane, Cedar City, Beaver, and Fillmore.
Our services include Information and Referral: providing information to programs and services in the community.
Advocacy: providing both Individual Advocacy - which involves the Center working with an individual to access services from other agencies and Systems Advocacy: which involves Center making changes in people living with disabilities to live independently.
Independent Living Skills: provide training to adults to enhance or develop skills that can improve independent living opportunities.
Youth Programs: Younger Youth ages (5-10) provide fun activities during the school year and summer, Middle Youth ages (11-15) and Older Youth ages (16-24) provide classes and activities to support the transition from school into adulthood.
Peer Support: We provide support groups with other individuals learning to cope with a disability or adjusting to a newly acquired disability by sharing experiences.
Low Vison/Older Blind Program: promoting independence for those 55 and older with visual impairments by receiving devices and providing support groups with others experiencing the same barriers.
Nursing Home Transition and Diversion: program assists individuals transitioning out of, or avoiding placement in, institutions.
Loan Bank: Accessing mobility equipment on a short-term basis to assist and increase independence.
