Builder Workshops – Both Lowe’s and Home Depot offer free workshops your children can attend. See their website for more information and registration.

Artie in the Park – Kids can enjoy arts and crafts in parks across STG every Monday and Friday. See the city’s website “In the Parks Series” for locations and times. – STG Art Museum
Music time with the Pips – Each summer The Pips visit parks around St. George to entertain and interact with the community in song and dance. They will be in Town Square every Wednesday in June and July from 11a-12:30p by the splash pads. See the city’s website “In the Parks Series” for information. – STG City
Splash Pads – Town Square, Thunder Junction All Abilities Park, Hidden Valley Park, Pine View, Hurricane City Park, Archie Gubler Park, Splash Pad, Dixie Springs Park, Sienna Hills Park, Little Valley, Sullivan Virgin River Soccer Park, Ivins City Unity Park.
Barnes and Noble – Children’s story time held every Saturday at 11 am.
St. George Library – Toddler Story time, Art club (ages 7-11), and Science club (ages 7-11), at this location.
Santa Clara Library – Art Club (ages 7-11) and Toddler Story times are offered at this location.
Washington City Library – Weekly Toddler Story time.
Springdale Library – Weekly Toddler Story time.
Hurricane Branch Library – Weekly Toddler Story Time, and Lego club (all ages).

Teen Summer Foam Blast – In July at Unity Park hosted by the city of Ivins, date TBA.
Art Around Town – Explore murals, sculptures, and visit Kayenta Art Village, Sears Art Museum, Or go on a scavenger hunt to find all of the bison statues.
Dungeons & Dragons Club – is offered monthly at the Hurricane Library for teens 13 and up.
Explore Ghost Towns – like Grafton Ghost Town, Silver Reef Museum & Ghost Town, or Old Iron Town Historic Site.
Take an Evening Bike Ride – on the Virgin River Trail, the Halfway Wash Trail, the Red Hills Pkwy Trail, the State Rd 18 Trail, or the Lava Flo Trail – All are Safe and paved, scenic paths for riding.
The Electric Film Series – On the third Tuesday of every month, the FMASU hosts a free screening of historical films.
Sunset Strolls or Sunrise Hikes – Try Chuckwalla Trail, Brooks Nature Park, or Red Hills Desert Garden.
Pickle Ball Courts – Vernon Worthen Park, Archie Gubler Park, Ivins Unity Park, Desert Rose Park, Fish Rock Park, Little Valley Pickle Ball Courts, Hidden Valley, Bloomington Park, La Jolla Park, Green Spring Park, The Boilers, Sullivan Pickle Ball Courts, Shooting Star Park, Dixie Springs Park, Sky Ridge Park, Hurricane City Park, Toquerville Park.

Free Library Events – Enjoy Crafts, Guest Speakers, Games, and more first and second Thursdays of every month at 6 pm in Community room A in the St. George Library.
A monthly Book club is offered at the St. George, Hurricane, and Washington City locations.
Explore Historic St. George – Walk through Brigham Young’s home, Jacob Hamblin’s home, and pioneer sites downtown.
Crystal Festival – A rock, gem, mineral, & crystal show. Free admission, May 31-Jun1, 10 am- 8 pm, family friendly, located in the Grafton Building in Washington County Legacy Park.
Summer Kick Off – Celebrate start of summer, June 7th at Dixie Springs Park! 10 am – 3 pm. Water slides, food trucks, splash pad, volley ball, Tug of War, Corn hole & more.
Independence Day – HURRICANE Host’s a 4th of July Parade.
Springdale also hosts a 4th of July Parade.
St. George has a parade downtown in the morning and a fireworks show, 10 pm at Utah Tech University.
Brian Head Art Fair – Runs July 3rd-5th, and has live music, fun attractions for adults and kids, great food & drinks for everyone.
Pioneer Day – July 24th there will be a parade down Telegraph at 8 AM, and afterward, go enjoy the children’s booths in Veterans Park. When the sun goes down enjoy a fireworks display that evening at 10PM at the Washington City Baseball Complex.
Brian Head’s 50th Birthday Celebration – On July 24th – 26th there will be a Village Way Vendor Fair, Bounce Houses, a Car Show, Cowboy Poetry, a Drone Show and more!
Free Fishing Day (UT) – June 7th, 2025.
Free Summer National Park Admission Days – June 19th, and August 4th, 2025.
Fee Free Swimming – Virgin River Skim Board Park, The Boilers Park, Fire Lake Park at Ivins Reservoir, Upper Sand Cove, and Lower Sand Cove Reservoir, Toquerville Falls, Navajo Lake, Gunlock Town Pond.
Movie Nights in the Park – City sponsored outdoor movies all summer.
STG: Every 2nd and 4th Fridays of the months May through August in the St. George Town square Park.
Ivins: Every Friday in August at Ivins City Heritage Park hosts a movie night at dusk.
Concerts in the Park – STG: Every Second Monday from April through September at Vernon Worthen Park at 7:30 pm.
Ivins: During the month of May at Ivins Heritage Park.
Hurricane: May through September 2nd and 4th Thursdays, 8pm at Pioneer Park.
Sears Art Museum – The Butterfly Effect Exhibit June 13th– August 22nd, Free Entry.
Daughters of Utah Pioneer Museum – Features artifacts from early Utah settlers and pioneers. Great for local history buffs. A must see item their is a local preserved cake that is a century old.
Greater Zion Visitor Center – Located inside the Washington County Administration Building at 111 E Tabernacle Street, the Greater Zion Visitor Center is an essential stop for exploring southwest Utah. It features interactive exhibits, including live animal displays, floor-to-ceiling infographic panels, and a giant interactive map, providing insights into the region’s natural wonders and recreational opportunities.
Hurricane Valley Heritage Park Museum – The museum showcases artifacts related to early settlers, including displays on the construction of the Hurricane Canal and preserved items like a slab of bacon from the 1940s.
Pioneer Corner Museum –Situated at 95 S Main Street, the Pioneer Corner Museum is dedicated to preserving and celebrating the rich history of Hurricane Valley. The museum features three historic buildings—a blacksmith shop, a church, and a schoolhouse—each carefully preserved to maintain their original appearance.
Kayenta Art Village – Explore local galleries and desert landscaping.
The Samuel R. Knight Santa Clara History Museum – located in the basement of Town Hall, It features artifacts, photos, and exhibits about early Swiss settlers, pioneer families, and the local Paiute tribe.
Washington City Museum– Housed in a beautifully restored sandstone building that once served as a school, The museum showcases artifacts and exhibits detailing the city’s founding in 1857 and its development over the years.
Western Sky Aviation Navigation Warbird Museum – This outdoor Museum, located at the St. George Regional Airport, is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and showcasing vintage military aircraft.
Southern Utah Museum of Art (Cedar City) – Free museum at SUU, featuring contemporary art exhibitions plus work from local and regional artists.
Frehner Museum of Natural History (Cedar City) – Interactive exhibits focusing on natural sciences, showcasing regional geology, paleontology, and biology.
Markets – Browse Artisan booths and live entertainment at our large section of markets.
St. George: Downtown Farmer’s Market, Southern Utah Funday Market, St. George Sunrise Market, Digby’s Local Market is on Tuesdays from 3-7 pm.
Washington: Wednesday Night Market at Rowley’s Red Barn.
Santa Clara: Frei’s Fruit Market.
